Top Ten Tuesday: Books that should be made into Netflix movies/ shows

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday.

It’s held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 bookish lists to the theme for the week.

This week we’re all about those books that should be Netflix shows or movies.

Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows: This is the story of women that are supposed to not have lives because their husbands are dead, but they still have stories to tell, and lives to lead and they need a whole series for themselves to explore their stories.

Tannie Maria series: Tannie Maria is the protagonist of a cozy mystery series set in a small town in South Africa. But underneath that is a character who is trying to deal with her PTSD from an abusive marriage as well.

Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil: I can’t tell you how much the characterisation in this book just left me salivating for more, and it’s a standalone. While the others would probably be best as a series, this would be a movie. For sure.

Good Me, Bad me:The daughter of a serial killer might just be a victim of a ruthless mother, or just as manipulative.

The Max Parsons series: Max is a single father and a cop, but his relationship with his daughter is by far the more interesting part of this series because of how that experience affects the rest of what he does.

Poison City:This is the kind of sci-fi fantasy I adore beyond all good reason. Stunningly creative, angsty and with a talking dog (that is not the weirdest thing in this book) — only a series will do.

The Harry Virdee series:I could talk about how good this series is FOREVER, so naturally, only a series, for oh  about 7 seasons, will do the characterisation, politics and family issues justice.

My Sister Rosa:Given that the little sister in this is a killer, I’m thinking a movie will do mostly because I can’t imagine a kid this young playing a psycho for a tv series. Though I think it would be brilliant to see Rosa in all her psycho glory.

That’s all she wrote. Would you watch any of these series?
