Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish discoveries of 2019

If you’re new to my blog,  welcome to Top Ten Tuesday. It’s held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 bookish lists to the theme for the week.  This week’s topic is about your bookish discoveries of 2019

So last year:

I discovered East of Hounslow and a Jay Qasim, with a fabulous story on a young Muslim man who wants to do the right thing, while the world sees him as a threat.

Podcasts — and Audible shows: I loved the combination of podcast and story in Lethal Lit, Bowraville  and discovered more of more Audible Australia’s podcast shows.

I discovered a couple of titles that rejuvenated my love for urban fantasies: Ghosts of Gotham, Titanshade, and even an old favourite: Grave Sight

#MeToo: Stories from the Australian Movement showed me just how many diverse women had stories to share, and how similar they all were too.

The Shotgun Lawyer made me appreciate legal thrillers again!

The Secrets We Kept: showed me I can like historical fiction.

And as it turns out, Ann Cleeves? Totally my kinda read.
