If you’re new to my blog, welcome to Top Ten Tuesday. It’s held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 bookish lists to the theme for the week. This week’s topic is about bloggers’ faves of 2019
First up, I’m probably going to be repeating myself a couple of times in this list, but eh. The books are totally worth one more post.
Red White and Royal Blue: Forever on my top 10 list for this year.
East of Hounslow: for diving head first into what it means to be Muslim in this world. I grant you getting recruited to Mi6 isn’t a natural part of anyone’s life, but there are deeper themes here.
Lost and Found: Rescue Dogs and their stories of adoption: These rescues are all from the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home and their stories are so heartwarming.
What I like about me: it’s the coming of age story I never knew I wanted. Go read it, seriously
Ghosts of Gotham: That time a guy who debunks the paranormal finds himself smack dab in the middle of the paranormal in a big, BIG way!
Gone by Midnight: If ever there was an odd couple of PIs, Ted and Amanda would be it. Their differences, how they work together and clash makes for riveting reading. And this one in particular highlighted just how fabulous Amanda really is.
For Better and Worse: For those married couples who murder together. And also wives who are seriously BAMF (but also slightly bloodthirsty).
Ramen Assassin:Murder, romance and ramen. And banter to die for!
Dead Man Switch:Billie Walker is my new favourite (historical) PI. In 1940’s Sydney no less!
The Secrets We Kept: This gorgeous read grabbed me out of nowhere. This is a book about three different love stories, and how they all revolve around getting Dr Zhivago published.
