Top Ten Tuesday: Extraordinary book titles

If you’re new to my blog,  welcome to Top Ten Tuesday. It’s held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 being asked about.  This week’s topic is about extraordinary book titles. Or the book titles that were intriguing enough for me to take another look at.

The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters

Coupled with the cover, I couldn’t resist.

Erotic stories for Punjabi Widows

By the same author of the Shergill Sisters, this right away gives readers a juxtaposition of sex and passion with widows in a culture that does not think they should have sex and passion if they are widows.

Lies Lies Lies

What would you believe in a book all about Lies? Certainly grabbed my attention!

The Blessed Girl

Coupled with a chic cover, that does everything to dispel anything religious about the title. again a contrast of two things caught my eye — or rather a contrast for me.

For Better AND Worse

Yeah, that and? Got me right away.

The Frame-up

I have to admit, the cover edged out the title here just a bit…

#METOO: Stories from the Australian movement

The title speaks for itself.

Red, White and Royal Blue

A clever play on the title immediately caught my attention and then the cute cover registered!

That’s it for me! What do you think of these titles? Would you pick a title if it didn’t have the right cover? I kinda think they work hand in hand.
