Top Ten Tuesdays: Book besties I’d like in RL

if you’re new to my blog,  welcome to Top Ten Tuesday. It’s held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 being asked about.  This week’s topic is about those characters I’d like to be besties with.

Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice. Enough said.

Hermoine. Again, who wouldn’t?

The Shergill sisters from The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters: because they are complex, flawed women, and really, aren’t we all?

MG from The Frame Up: a comics nerd, who may still be figuring out who she is, but won’t let that stop her from diving head first into a mystery to solve.

Natalie from For Better or Worse: yes, she’s a murderer, but she’s an intelligent, determined, got-her-shit together to save the day woman. Also context is everything for that sentence to make sense, and not make me look incredibly bloodthirsty right now.

Madison from The Ghosts of Gotham: another badass woman in the supernatural world.

Saima and Harry Virdee from the Harry Virdee series: I love them, I love their relationship, how strong they are in the face of adversity from their families.

Maisie from What I Like About Me: I think I would have liked a friend like Maisie growing up, most especially. And also as adults, because I think she would be amazing.

Lucy from the Hummus and Homicide: We all like to think as adults we have our shit figured out when in reality we don’t, and Lucy didn’t when she had to return to her home town, and rediscover an entirely different path for her future.
