Top Ten Tuesday is held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 being asked about. This week the topic is supposed to be about the books that awaken the travel bug in you. Here are my picks:
Origin: I know he tends to be a divisive author, though I’ve never understood why, but from the moment I first saw the Da Vinci Code, and then read it, and then read his other ones, including Inferno I have loved his plotting that has taken me to different locations around the world.
Hidden Paris: This is a coffee table book and perhaps a cheat, but it highlights the beauty inside and outside of Paris’ homes and buildings. Just gorgeous!
Foreign Affairs mystery series: This is a series about a diplomat and the mysteries he solves in thus far — Havana, Moscow and Tokyo! Tokyo has been been my to-go list for ages, so this is a definite must!
Bloody Scotland – heh. Not the most enticing title, but Scotland!
The King of bones and ashes: Set in New Orleans, this is a city I would very much love to see one day!
Chocolat and Under the Tuscan Sun are two movies based on books that I am totally counting for this week! I almost don’t want to read them in case they don’t match up to how beautiful these movies are.
Two Steps Forward: is a romance that is as much about our love interests finding themselves before they find each other on Camino de Santiago or the The Way, which is a network of pilgrimage routes to Spain through Europe and it’s gorgeous!
That’s me done! What’s been giving you the travel bug lately?
