Can’t Wait Wednesday was once Waiting on Wednesday, but the purpose is the same: for bloggers to highlight what they’re waiting on. This week I am waiting on The Color of Bee Larkham’s Murder
Blurb
Whatever happens, don’t tell anyone what you did to Bee Larkham…
Jasper is not ordinary.
In fact, he would say he is extraordinary…Synaesthesia paints the sounds of his world in a kaleidoscope of colours that no one else can see. But on Friday, he discovered a new colour – the colour of murder.
He’s sure something has happened to his neighbour, Bee Larkham, but no-one else seems to be taking it as seriously as they should be. The knife and the screams are all mixed up in his head and he’s scared that he can’t quite remember anything clearly.
But where is Bee? Why hasn’t she come home yet? Jasper must uncover the truth about that night – including his own role in what happen
You know how excited you get when you receive a book mail?? I went OHHHHHH out loud and proceeded to forget I was talking on the phone while sorting through my mail. This is the first time I’ve seen a book and a mystery deal with synaesthesia.
What are you waiting on this week?
Very strange to see my name in that blurb hahaha XD But this sounds cool.
LOL! Must’ve been a surprise!! And yeah, I am looking forward to getting stuck into this one!
Ooh this is original, and sounds maybe a little intense too.
Oh, I agree completely on both counts!
What an interesting premise! Sounds like a great mystery. Enjoy!
Thank you!
Love the idea of a character with synaesthesia. Great pick!
Me too — thank you!
I’ve read a few books that used synesthesia as part of the story. I’m rather fascinated with that condition, though I imagine it’s not as ‘interesting’ as it sounds when you actually experience it. Nice pick!
Ah, can you rec those other titles, for me, please Kay? I’d love to explore this more!
This sounds great. I’m pretty sure I’ve never read a book where one of the characters has synaesthesia. That cover is eye-catching too! Great pick!
Hope you enjoy it!
Wow, this does sound so unique. I can see why you forgot you were on the phone!
Oh, yes, I am wishing for this one. 🙂
I don’t know a lot about synaesthesia and haven’t read anything with it in either, so this would be an interesting one to start with. Great pick.
I’ve never heard of this condition before, but it would be interesting to see how it plays a role in the story.
I may have to track this down! My daughter has synesthesia (she sees music notes in color) so I’m very interested in this topic. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve read one book where the character has Synaesthesia and it was fascinating. This book sounds really good. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
This sounds like a really good murder mystery! Good pick!
Mary my Can’t Wait Wednesday
I love the sound of this one! I actually had to listen to a podcast about synaesthesia, but haven’t looked into it since. I do think it’ll be interesting to see it play out during a murder mystery! I hope you love this Verushka!
This book sounds super interesting! I haven’t heard about any book that deals with synaesthesia either but I’m intrigued.
I was just looking at this recently and it sounds really intriguing. Great pick! Thanks for linking up too. 🙂
This sounds so very interesting. Thanks so much for sharing!
WOW, this does sound unusual!! Although I’m not too keen on the murder part, I DO like the synesthesia angle! I might just give this one a go!! Thanks for featuring it, and I hope you enjoy it!!
Also, thanks for commenting on my own CWW post!! HUGS!!! <3 <3 <3 🙂 🙂 🙂
