I have a confession to make: I had to look up Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes.
I feel utterly ashamed, because I couldn’t for the life of me remember if I had read it when AJ Bett’s quote landed in my inbox.
And the thing is, I hadn’t — I’d read all his books, but not his rhymes and reading the Wikipedia entry — which yes, it’s Wikipedia, don’t hate me! But, of all the things I expected, Cinderella and a beheading; three little pigs and a wolf with dynamite and a Goldilocks that’s not all that pure and nice… why have I not seen this before?!
And all that makes me understand exactly why AJ Betts would love writing like this!
Who else has read Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes? (someone say no, so I don’t feel alone?)
