Waiting on Wednesday is held every week over at Breaking the Spine, where book bloggers share what they’re looking forward to next. My WOW book rec this week is:
I’m just going to let the blurb do the talking for me here, because it’s the craziest, best thing I’ve read in a long time:
A year ago, Millie lost her legs and her filmmaking career in a failed suicide attempt. Just when she’s sure the credits have rolled on her life story, she gets a second chance with the Arcadia Project: a secret organization that polices the traffic to and from a parallel reality filled with creatures straight out of myth and fairy tales.
For her first assignment, Millie is tasked with tracking down a missing movie star who also happens to be a nobleman of the Seelie Court. To find him, she’ll have to smooth-talk Hollywood power players and uncover the surreal and sometimes terrifying truth behind the glamour of Tinseltown. But stronger forces than just her inner demons are sabotaging her progress, and if she fails to unravel the conspiracy behind the noble’s disappearance, not only will she be out on the streets, but the shattering of a centuries-old peace could spark an all-out war between worlds.
No pressure.
Hollywood? Seelie Court? Secret organisations? Hollywood? This just cracks me up so much and I WANT it so badly! LOL!
What about you? What are you waiting for this week?
Hmmm… This one definitely sounds interesting and I love the cover! I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for sharing 😀
Here’s my WoW!
Hiii It sounds epic and completly crazy, I’m busting to get my hands on it!
I don’t read a lot of fantasy but this sounds pretty interesting. I like the aspect of filmmaking/Hollywood and secret orgs… they’re always fun to read. I hope it’s good!
Me too, Amanda! It was the mix of Hollywood and urban fnatasy and secret orgs sounds sooo good!
This one sounds really interesting! The mix of things in it is just.. I can’t quite imagine what it will be like, you know? Haha
THAT is exactly what I thought Annika — I couldn’t quite pick what it would be like!
Oh my goodness! I adore parallel world type novels, and one with strange creatures and the Seelie Court?! Great find – I’m adding it to my TBR now, thanks 🙂
IKR? IT sounds so good!! I hope you like it!
