Mulder and Scully are venturing into the world of YA.
I truly am side-eyeding this so hard because it smacks of the desire to get as much money from The X-Files as possible, and YA is the frontier earning the big money in books these days. I don’t think the books have ever ventured into YA before, have they?
But, to me, the attraction of the show was always Mulder and Scully investigating together– the way they play off each other, challenge each other and work together. I can’t imagine one without the other, and more importantly, I don’t want to.
What do you think? Can the magic of Mulder and Scully ever be replicated in separate YA adventures?

I heard about this on Twitter. I have never watched The X-Files, I have to admit, so I can’t say how i think the books will do. It DOES seem a bit odd to have the two leads separated though, since they play so well off of each other.
Exactly! The hook for the X-files has always been their magic of their relationship, which is why this sounds like a grab for $$$ more than anything. Sighs.
Wait wait wait wait WHAT? I love The X-Files and I love YA fiction, but I cannot see a good way for the two to mix. Just no.
