Feature and Follow Friday #14

Feature Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

Question of the Week: Name a movie you would have loved to read as a book ( That is not a book already obviously) – Suggested by Go Book Yourself

Terminator Genisys living poster

I am going to be way weird here — I think — and say The Terminator series. Like all of them — I know, I know, but hear me out: I think the world itself has all the elements for a good sci-fi dystopian world. The movies, have I think, the basics for what could be pretty fabulous book worlds, with some filling out. I mean, Sarah as the main character running through the novels? Time travel, sentient computer? John out to save the world? I think it has such potential!

I have never seen any of the Terminator Movies. Oops! πŸ˜€

  • Baggins says:

I agree, The Terminator series would make for some epic books. They could flesh out that world and the characters to make an awesome read. πŸ˜€ Old follower.

    My FF!

IKR? I would LOVE to know more about Sarah after Kyle died and then in the new one — ROADTRIP with Sarah, Kyle and Pops! SO much potential!!

  • Maria Behar says:

I don’t think this is “way weird” at all. I totally agree that these movies would be AWESOME books! After all, the movies were just amazing! The dystopian future world is very believable, and I LOVE how kick-butt Sarah is! I’m a HUGE sci-fi fan, so I do wish somebody had thought of writing book versions of these movies! In fact, I could kick myself for not thinking of featuring them in my FF post!

Come on over and check out my pick!

!!! It was Sarah that got me thinking about Terminator for this post *high fives* She’s got such potential, and I am absolutely hoping that the next movies focus on her again in the movies. I think she’s pretty much the only reason the movies have been going on lol, goodness knows John isn’t doing it (though I like Jason Clarke)

Never seen the Terminator movies but I bet they’d be action packed books!

  • Jen @ My So-Called Book Reviews says:

OMGwad!!!! Terminator is such an awesome choice! I’m actually super jealous that I didn’t think of this one myself Lol I agree exactly with what you said and how amazing would it be as a fully fleshed out book series! Great choice :)

Old follower so I added you on Pinterest & Goodreads!

    • Verushka says:

Thanks Jen!! I keep thinking about Sarah and this tipped me over the edge into wanting a series — AND John! John as a leader in the future — we’ve only learned a little about him in the future, I think there’s so much more to tell. (and added back!)

Okay, to be honest, I haven’t seen any of these movies. I do really like this question though because I do find movies I love that I wish were novels so I could dive into the story more.

I remember seeing this movie The Invisible years ago and wishing it was a novel: http://www.amazon.com/The-Invisible-Justin-Chatwin/dp/B000TAN904

You’re right, it is hard to think of one title for this FFF β€” my mind was flooded when I saw the question and it took me ages to pick one. And, ooooh, The Invisible is a great choice I think β€” I’d like to watch this, I think.
