Feature and Follow Friday 7: What does it all mean?

Feature Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

If you were to get a tattoo, what would it say or what would the graphic be? Or if you have a tattoo, share a picture and its meaning. – Suggested by Second Run Reviews.

I have several with personal meanings to do with family, but I’ve wanted a literary one for ages now. This is one I still keep coming back to (the French version) but given that I’m still of two minds about it… preview

What do you think? Can you suggest another literary quote?

What’s do you want to get?

Hopping through. I fixed the linky on my blog. Thanks so much for letting me know about it. I completely forgot to update the code from last week. My FF

I love that quote! I don’t know if I can think of book related quote I’d love to have tattooed. But now you got me thinking about it. I think it’s awesome you have five tattoos I just have one but I have many I’d love to get.

Thank you! I was going to get it in Las Vegas when I went there on holiday, but didn’t have enough time! I am still thinking about literary quotes, though, but this one is always on my mind. One day, i want to have enough $$$ to have an original one done. After that, i’d stop.

  • Angelica says:

Verushka I’d love to see pics of your tattoo. I also want a bookish tattoo but because of the large one I have on my back, I won’t be getting any more tattoos unless it’s representing my kids. I’m unsure about what though at this point. If you do decide to get one, make sure you put it in a place where you can hide it if you want to, as it’s not always appropriate for tattoos to be shown/seen.

    My #FFF

    Have a great weekend!

    • Verushka says:

I think your tattoo is amazing, I genuinely do. It’s stunning. Mine are small ones that mark certain moments in my life. The only thing stopping me from getting something so big is the thought of the pain, to be honest. Tina above has a ring finger tat and I’ve always wnated one like that, but I want a quote around my wrist or on my hand somewhere. When I started getting the tattoos, I was always careful about where I put them, but now, I think I’m getting over these days. (I’ll confirm after my next tattoos)

      • Angelica says:

        Thanks for stopping by :)

Placement is very important, I tend to like to put my tattoos in places where I can choose when to show it, sometimes it’s not appropriate for a tattoo as large as mine showing, so I won’t ever get a tattoo somewhere that I can’t hide when the situation needs it to be hidden.

I’m looking forward to seeing your next tat. You may think this is funny but I’m not a huge tattoo person myself LOL

  • Megan @ love literature art and reason says:

That would be a cool quote to get. I’m a new follower via bloglovin. 😀

    • Verushka says:

Thank you! I dont read french either but i love all things french, so I may be a little biased In preferring the french version too lol

  • Meredith @ A Book Lover's Corner says:

I have always loved the quote that says that you live multiple lives when you read, and if you don’t read then you only know that one life. The closest actual quote that says this that I could find quickly is this one, “Anyone who says they have only one life to live must not know how to read a book.” ~ Unknown ~

A little harsh, but I like the meaning behind it :)

  • Vivien says:

I love your tattoo idea. Maybe I should get “readers are beautiful creatures” in French.
