THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: How many books, approximately, do you think you have in your personal collection?
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a brief comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks! 😀
I was excited but now I’m ambivalent — has anyone read Poe Must Die?
I know, I know what you’re thinking — movie adaptation of a book, right? When has that ever turned out ok?
Forgive me for being hopeful and smitten, but Idris Elba has optioned it as a trilogy so I want it to be successful already — IDRIS ELBA (who would be an excellent James Bond, I can’t imagine how that’s even a question). So, I went searching for it on Goodreads and was somewhat disappointed by the reviews — which brings me to my question — do you think it’s worth reading?
I think I’m afraid to read it in case it’s bad.
I say give the book 50 pages and see if you like it.
There are some books I really enjoy that many on various social outlets that others don’t. And there are some that I don’t quite understand why they get the love from others.
Good idea, I think. I tend to look at reviews as cutting through the spin of blurbs, so I rely on them a lot — I’m beginning to think, possibly too much.
This does intrigue me…there is just something about Poe….
Here is MY MUSINGS POST
I agree, there is something about Poe… thanks for coming over!
It sounds interesting but my heart sinks when I read lots of reviews that are less than complimentary. Thanks for visiting my MM earlier https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/01/19/musing-mondays-january-19/
My heart does too. I rely on those reviews to cut through the publisher blurbs to let me know what the book is really like. Thanks for commenting!
