Top Ten Tuesday: Books I am no longer interested in reading

Top Ten Tuesday book meme

Top Ten Tuesday is held over at That Artsy Reader Girl, where every week bloggers list their top 10 being asked about. This week’s post is about the books that you are no longer interested in reading despite your best intentions…

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

I kept meaning to, but I never got around to reading it. *shrugs* At this point, I think I need to lay this to rest.

Nadia Stafford series

This was Kelley Armstrong’s first foray into a genre that wasn’t urban fantasy. I wanted to like it, I really did and I tried book 1, hated it, and wanted to try again later, but I never did.

By all accounts, this is absolutely my cup of tea and I tried this as an audiobook but it just did not work for me. I suspect it might be the format, and it might be better read, but it’s gone to the bottom of my TBR.

Norse Mythology

Another one I tried to read as an audiobook and didn’t get into it. This one isn’t about format, but I didn’t enjoy the stories as much I thought I would.

The Lost Book of the Grail

This is another one I tried and didn’t get into — there was something about the pacing as I recall that just fell flat for me. I always planned to go back, but never did. And probably won’t.

Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore

Another story going from the blurb, I was sure would be perfect for me, but the pacing did me in. Boo.

Trailer Park Fae

Damn this cover is beautiful! But one of those I kept meaning to get to but never did. Or will.

Another one gone to the bottom of my TBR.

London Falling

Another one, I tried via audiobook and just didn’t not get into. Genuinely a blurb I LOVED but I just didn’t get into it.

Before I go to Sleep

The movie creeped me out and so I thought the book would be a good read, but again, it just fell to the bootom of my TBR.

I felt incredibly guilty putting some books on this list because it was always my intention to go back to them! Some I’ve tried and some I just haven’t got around to. What about you?
