It’s here! The #LoveOzYA Anthology of your dreams is here! It publishes on 24 April, and I got to thinking about what it means for me to have this collection and anything like it — it means I could find a story that could be mine, could be something my nephews and cousins and family could see themselves in. And, I wish I could truly articulate what it means to see a story about an Indian character or an Asian one in a book.
#LoveOzYA taught me what I was missing and it taught me that it was alright to want to see those things in print — it’s not out of the ordinary, not these days to want to see a story about an Indian character, and in fact, it should be the norm.
Danielle Binks is a contributor and editor to the anthology, as you can see how proud she is of this anthology! And with authors like by
Amie Kaufman, Melissa Keil, Will Kostakis, Ellie Marney, Jaclyn Moriarty, Michael Pryor, Alice Pung, Gabrielle Tozer, Lili Wilkinson
You know these names right? So you know it’s going to be GOOD! What do you think of #LoveOzYA anthology?
