#LoveOzLit: Amanda Holohan on what 2017 holds for her

#LoveOzLit: Amanda Holohan shares what she's looking forward to in 2017

So there I was a couple of weeks ago at a Penguin YA book event and what pops up? Amanda Holohan’s Hunted:

Hunted by Amanda Holohan

Blurb: Bea Azaeli and the other survivors of the resistance have escaped the human prison that was their city, but how will they survive in the wild? Those infected with Elder ink are now cursed with a terrible sickness, and the lack of supplies are a threat to them all. Still mourning the loss of Red, Bea vows to keep her family safe. But she has made dangerous enemies. They are ruthless. They are watching. And they will seek revenge.

Naturally, there was excitement, but on to more important questions: Australian sci-fi anyone? Have you read any?

  • I have not heard of these, I will have to check them out. I don’t know that I’ve read any Australian science fiction either. You liked the first book in this series? I assume they need to be read in order it sounds like as well.

I’m not sure I’ve read any Australian scifi but I’d love to!

  • Oooh, Australian sci-fi! I don’t think I’ve read any aside from Illuminae — I believe both Kaufman and Kristoff are Australian. Based on that reading experience though, I have very positive associations with Australian sci-fi, haha. 🙂

This is the first time I hear of this series. It does sound interesting, although I must admit it also sounds rather depressing….

How EXCITING that you attended a Penguin YA book event!! I wish I had been there….. The last time I went to a similar event was when several YA authors — Maggie Stiefvater, Meg Cabot, and Libba Bray — came to Miami for an event at a local bookstore named “Books and Books”. That was a couple of years ago.

I will look up this book, as well as the one before it, on Goodreads. Thanks for the heads up!! <3 🙂
