Nova Weetman is the author of Everything is Changed, the story of two friends and an event that changes their lives. She is a children’s TV writer and short fiction writer, and she brings up something that many authors have pointed out…
It’s just business
Getting published is good (I imagine). Hands up who disagrees? Anyone, no? But then, there’s the business side that other authors have mentioned. There’s no escaping the humdrum of it, but what all these authors have impressed upon me is that it’s as important to know and understand the business side of things as it is your characters and/or plot.
What do you think? Did you expect the responses to be so business focused?
